This Privacy Policy describes how TextInOrder ("TextInOrder," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and handles information in connection with the TextInOrder service. By using the service you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We may collect the following types of information:
TextInOrder processes phone numbers and message content solely to provide the SMS lookup service described in this policy and our Terms of Service. We do not use SMS message data to build advertising profiles or sell it to any third party.
TextInOrder logs inbound lookup requests, including the sender's phone number (which may be masked in display), the lookup code submitted, the result returned, and a timestamp. This information is used for operational purposes — troubleshooting, improving accuracy, and managing the service. It is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising.
The TextInOrder website may use session cookies necessary for the operation of the administrator portal. These cookies are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Standard server logs may be collected for security and operational purposes.
TextInOrder may engage third-party service providers to assist in delivering the service — for example, cloud hosting, SMS carrier infrastructure, or security services. Service providers may process information only as necessary to provide infrastructure, messaging, hosting, security, analytics, or related services on TextInOrder's behalf and subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations. They are not authorized to use your information for their own purposes.
The TextInOrder SMS service uses Twilio as its SMS infrastructure provider. Twilio's use of data is governed by Twilio's own privacy policy, available at twilio.com. TextInOrder does not authorize Twilio to use your phone number or message content for Twilio's own marketing purposes.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we process against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no internet or SMS transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain SMS lookup logs and related data for as long as necessary to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Contact form submissions are retained for a reasonable period to allow us to respond and follow up. You may request deletion of your information by contacting us at support@textinorder.com.
You may choose not to use the TextInOrder SMS service. If you have sent a lookup request, you may request that your associated records be deleted by contacting us.
To stop receiving SMS messages from TextInOrder, reply STOP to any TextInOrder message. We will honor your opt-out request and cease sending further messages unless required by law. To resume service, reply START. For help, reply HELP.
TextInOrder is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
